Come and Listen

What would your life look like if you lived it with an attitude of thankfulness and worship?  I’m not sure because I don’t.  But I’m being drawn into it.  A new song is getting some major airplay on my iPhone.  A birthday present from Gracie.  It’s caused me to draw near.  Here are the words.  Watch the vid, listen to the words, and meditate.  Wait til you have some quiet.  The music doesn’t start for about a minute.  As you listen a few times, make your list.  How is He good to you?  What has He done for you?

Come and listen, come to the water’s edge, all you who know and fear the Lord.
Come and listen, come to the water’s edge all you who are thirsty, come.

Let me tell you what He has done for me.
Let me tell you what He has done for me,
He has done for you,
He has done for us.

Come and listen,
Come and listen to what He’s done.
Come and listen,
Come and listen to what He’s done.

Praise our God for He is good.
Praise our God for He is good.
Praise our God for He is good.
Praise our God for He is good.

He has done for me,
He has done for you,
He has done for us.

Come and listen,
Come and listen to what He’s done.
Come and listen,
Come and listen to what He’s done.

Come and listen.  What does that mean?  Quietness.  Stillness.  The invitation is to those who are thirsty.  For more of Jesus.  “Let me tell you what He’s done for me.”  As I worship and sing, what happens in my soul?  I’m drawn to tell God what He’s done.

Thank you Jesus for my family.

Father King, I could keep going, but as I sing this song to you, I want to say thank you.  You  have made me.  You have watched me fly high and sink low.  You’ve walked with me in the valley of the shadow of death.  You have walked with me beside still waters.  You’ve watched me stumble.  You’ve restored my soul.  You’ve watched me triumph.  You’ve led me by still waters.  You’ve led me in paths of righteousness.  I will fear no evil.  Holy Spirit, You are unfailing.  You deserve all of my praise.  For You are good.  And your mercy endures forever.  You’re good, Abba.  No matter what.  I love you.  I’m not the fastest, tallest, smartest, best, strongest, or easiest, but I’m yours.  Keep teaching me who you really are.  Reveal the real Abba to me.  I will follow.
